Michele Carey, also known as Michele Lee Henson, is the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, who was a doctor and Thelma Burell Henson. She was born in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America and was born on the 26th of February 1942. She was a piano prodigy in her teens and won the national competition at Chicago Music Festival at just 13 years old. She settled in Fort Collins, Colorado with her family and had her secondary education at Fort Collins High School where she completed her studies in the year 1960.
