In 2011, van der Pol guest appeared as Ronnie on the Disney Channel Original Shake It Up. Van der Pol recorded several songs to Walt Disney Records, including a song that she wrote with Raven-Symone & Orlando Brown for That's So the soundtrack of Raven. She also recorded Over It for the soundtrack of the Disney Channel Original Movie Stuck in the Suburbs. Van der Pol was a participant in the Disney Channel supergroup The Disney Channel Circle of Stars together with which she recorded pop/R&B interpretations of The"Lion King's" Circle of Life and Cinderella's The Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes for special edition releases of the films. To promote an episode of Disneymania in 2006, van der Poli covered the Disney classic Candle on the Water. She also recorded a number of songs from the Broadway production as well as A Change in Me.
